About the Role


We are looking for a Community & Channel Manager to join our Distributions team! Reporting to the Senior Channel Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a number of digital social and video channels for WildBrain Spark. You will work closely with the Senior Channel Manager and Content Marketing Manager and will execute on a strategy to grow both the parent and child audiences.


You will also work closely with the Head of New Product Development, Egg Head Studios (our external production partners), our internal production and post-production teams and marketing to drive growth for this key brand.


Every day is different and brings new problems and challenges to solve. Typically you’ll be:


  • Programming YouTube and other video and social channels (e.g. Instagram) ensuring adherence to platform best practices,
  • Creation, briefing and commissioning of key digital media assets (video cut-downs, Insta stories, video thumbnails etc.) and continually optimizing titles, descriptions and other metadata for search and discovery,
  • Community management of channels (where applicable), responding to comments, feed posts, inbox queries, creating FAQ docs and running/fulfilling competitions,
  • Working with internal and external production teams to ensure key feedback, data and insight is worked into the production process to improve and adapt the content,
  • Working with Marketing to devise content and campaign ideas, feeding into the annual content calendar, supporting brand initiatives and Paid Media colleagues to amplify comms where necessary,
  • Providing regular updates and on channel activity and growth, tracking against KPIs and brand objectives to internal and external stakeholders.


  • At least 2 years of experience in digital media.
  • In-depth knowledge of the digital video and social media landscape, understanding how content and formats work, publishing algorithms, digital KPIs and what insight can be drawn from the vast amount of data available to us.
  • Direct experience of the YouTube, Facebook and Instagram platforms.
  • Knowledge of the current kid’s media landscape; production, distribution and consumption.
  • An avid learner who keeps up-to-date with platform developments, trends and training in this field.
  • Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly Photoshop and Premiere).
  • Very strong written communication skills and a meticulous eye for detail.
